This is my first Post on the Bob Small Blog.

Actually, after seeing When did you last talk to

your Father with Colin Firth, I knew I had to do this.

There was a comment on an IMDB thread about

“How come there are no more Spencer Tracy films”

Well, maybe Colin is the new Spencer Tracy.

Like Spencer, he’s not particularly handsome

and he’s willing to play flawed characters.

Anyway, I realized I have all this Poetry

that is in notebooks and not transposed and

edited and I’ve been telling myself

that besides all my political worlds,

I have to make time to do this.

In a certain way beginning this Blog

is my first step in permitting myself

to do this.

There’s one notebook from the

second European Trip and

one from the 5th Southern Trip.

I need to give myself permission

to refine this work, which,

like oil, is in a crude state.

At any rate, this is a beginning

possibly like the Spring Training

of my bloggery.

Of course that sounds like

Poems and misdemenors

five days for unedited

Bloggery and we’ll be harder

on ye nex’ time.
