Walking down the Mountain 1 and others in that set

Note This first Poem is a Sound Poem or a Poem of Sounds, as you wish

Poem #2  is simply gliding down Mount Royal

Poem #3 is reflecting on whether we will ever do this again

Lunch at Peel is for Scott Norman, of course

At an un named Montreal Shoe Store is one part of the lover

equation waiting for the other.

And so on.

Walking Down the Mountain #1

Photos of sculpture

Walking down down

Photos in my mind

Photos not to find

Photos of sculpture

Artiste unknown

Photos always taken

 memory grown

Walking down the mountain #2

Flocks of children

legions of couples

singles on bikes

as we hike

Flocks of children

traversing , reversing

trees  greens

knowing no things but their tiny elf selves

Walking down the mountain #3

We see Park workers on bikes

bike like vehicles

this life

like any other or not

World which we only pass through

once every twenty years

if that

cool the breeze that winds through

as we descend

back to city

back to city

this time

unreturnable

this time

only seen once

this one sharp time

Lunch at Peel after Parade

after the march

after the parade

saw an end

saw the disabled marching

crutching wheelchairingly haltingly but smilingly

does it really matter where we lunched

where our cream of mushrooms were

that it was counter and waitressless

does it only matter that the courage

stayed in the air after the marchers left

months years later

after photos fade memories loss computers

are chipped away

will be walking someplace

and their faces remain

At an un named Montreal Shoe store

2 pairs

watchers of women’s feet

scarred feet

mottled feet

young feet old feet

painted toes plain toes

this was the first floor

second floor

one thinks

was probably gloves

soft hands hard hands

gloved hands loved hands

un loved hands industrial hands

plastic hands piano playing hands

guitar hands garden hands

waiter hands waiting hands-

3rd floor

Clothes clothes clothers

Women less interesting with clothes

some more

after a while

seeing women

thinking of food

seeing food

thinking of-

no books

or other artifacts

what would a distant distaff civilization think
