The Astro not Logical

The Astro not Logical guy in front of the Candy Factory

Getting off Route 40
not getting too much lost
found we the Candy Factory Building
Galleries with marvelously deserted floors
a place lost in time, without time
but maybe it’s us who are lost
and Knoxville found us

The Astro not Logical man
would not of been strange in
Philly or New York
Here he gave us fine directions
fascinating commentary
before our all floor tour of Candy Factory

On the way out
he springs at us
tries to sell us his Astrological Readings
$14.95 for short version-$99.95 for complete
all versions of payment accepted

I react badly to a hustle when I can see the strings
wait till
he gets
in his
before I have us moveonestep
did not get to fiftywhatever by being stupid
‘n maybe it was me bein’ over nervous
like she says
But I don’t trust weird
when I don’t know the weird
I don’t know the City
And this particular madness
has a slow and strange accent.
