As New York City recovers (from 11/1/12)
As New York City recovers
from the fire flood and wind
from the fire flood and wind
from the fire time and tides
from the water and the screamings
we sit in Hamburg
in a country distant
in a place where we can only wonder
wonder wonder
how are they doing
assume they are still doing
that her daughter and the
boyfriend in law
will call can call have phones and voices to use them..
phones and voices to use them
Later we will hear
that she calls him up to say yes I kicked you out
but my windows now need duck tapes and-
and that worlds collide but people remain
people remain the same
the same
But it is one November now
and we do not know
we do not know
we do not know
we do
not
know
