Thank John Mcnesby for this Poem
John McNesby, President of the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police, called a
small group of Black Lives Matter Protestors who rallied outside
the home of an officer accused of a shooting
“a pack of rabid animals”
John, maybe you need to think before you speak
“a pack of Vigilantes” would of been apropros
“let the legal system operate” would of been relevant
“officers right to privacy” would of been germane
Who writes your material anyway
When did it change
that the Police seem almost never never never to be charged
when they are the “perps” in a shooting that some see as questionable
some see as questionable, others see as murder, and
others see as duty
John, couldn’t you try to understand their frustration
and couldn’t the other side find another way
find another way, though they’ve tried all the other ways
short of the Black Panther way, short of the Deacons for Defense way
and isn’t it still “open season on Blacks”
“Open season on Blacks” or does it only seem that way
can’t we sit down and talk, can’t we agree to meet
while there is still time, while there is still space
or are we looking at the old west or the old south
happening in a new Northeast?
