Note; This is a rather overwrought poem from 1987
Now I’m just wrought
Nothing I don’t survive
Left at the alter a gain no
altered states for Small, no
sheltered status at all, no
melting status
ne mas no more I won’t
love again forever
for repetitive eternities
for evers and eons-
at least till the next one
like I just said
it’s
nothing I don’t survive
2) So someone is in love with
someone who’s in love with
someone
who’s someone else’s someone
odd man out
odd, man
odd
how very odd
how very again
when will I learn to give my love to dreams
not wearing flesh
but it’s nothing
nothing I don’t survive
3) Sitting with a friend
she loving him
who loves her who
dreams in ancient tongues
telling her she’s beautiful
no lie
intelligent and sensitive
no lie
and will find a man to love again
don’t know
Guess I’ll wait a year again
let me check my schedule
April 16th, 1988
I’ll open my heart a gain,
maybe
like I been saying it’s nothing
nothing I don’t survive
