So here’s my Brett Poem

So here’s my Brett Poem

Brett Kavanaugh

sounds like A Boston Bruins Defensemen

Defense not Offense Defense not Offence

sounds like the guy that Boston keeps sending down to Triple A Providence

till they tell him “Have a nice life”

The teenage Parties I went to

were way before the eighties

but the way they rolled, the way they rolled

if you went upstairs with a woman

you had agreed on something

The teenage parties I went to

when you went upstairs

a mind could still be changed

and nothing be owed

and nothing be owed

Even if you didn’t respect women then

You knew enough to pretend like you did

to pretend like you did

and you always knew

the woman just might have a  brother

More than half the time, more than half the time

I would end up at the losers conference downstairs

smoking j’s and talking to Matty or someone

about was Kennedy really dead, would they impeach Nixon

would the Phillies ever-

Did I ever want to use force.

Did I think about it,

Was there that one single moment in hell’s time-

I always had a vision of who I was

and that evil was not included
