My Next Duchess

So, I meet this woman, see

and ask her back to my place,

and for some odd reason

(I looked good or

her home looked that bad)

she said yes

and I told her she was

mah ve bus

simple mah ve bus, see

and it wasn’t a lie, see

and we drank wine, see

and we spoke lies, see

and I tasted her body,

that’s the ticket

and we spoke more wine

and drank more lies

till we spun up and off into our outer regions

almost reaching

that area T. love so much

I would almost gladly have someone else die for, see? No?

I mean, it was beautiful, her being an it

(Parbara always chides me for itserfication.

Who knows persons.)

I mean, it was beautiful

and it was fun

and it was 2 nights,

and it was 2 days,

over a half gallon of wine, see

all while my second ex-wife

lies dying

of a suicide

and tubes and all, see,

pocking her once grand body, see

and there’s a daughter who I’ll have to become Daddy for soon, see

but, like, it was really all just a fun, see

but what it was

but only an it

being, my future ex-wife, my first duchess,

declined

to be any part of it, see

and I still cry, at what that it wasn’t,

surely never an us,

and this damn time

T don’t even need the whiskey

to help me cry, see

this time, they closed my station

progress you see

and I’ll never see her train again, see

just cry dumb tears

at what it wasn’t,

see
