The Covid Cafe #14

Wlking int Swmre #1

1

Everything feels reduced

abreviatd less rather than more

at least we have each other

both of us in health

so far

2

listening to radio on my headphones

WXTU-FM Philly Country

(Don’t tell my liberal friends)

Ain’t nothing that beer can’t fix-Thomas Rhett

Used to believe that (substitute whiskey)

Used to have a lot of beliefs

now I know, as well as any of us now,

that beliefs can evolve

and what was certain yesterday

does not exist today

no longer Believe WORDS WILL SAVE ME

but still write because.

3

Walk Rutgers up to, or down to,

(and how does that matter anyhow)

ran into M and she and I

                     and she and I

very social for 6 feet away

conversated for maybe 20 Minutes

about how we were coping with covid

how we were Coviding?

4

PNC is open,

though I don’t need to

go

there

Should we fear the touch of money

any more than usual

Should we fear the touch of money

5

Charlie’s Hardware

forever open

(pen wouldn’t write,

hope I can write this in memory

Next place I notice

open is Dunkin Donuts

and Tom M swearrrs he don’t

go there no more

(is that because he thinks that

this is what we want to hear)

swears he don’t go there no more

like other friends swore they

didn’t go to the Homestretch

(the divest of local bars)

because there are some things you

just have to say,

truth be damned!
