For Lamont
Ten years after one apocalypse
6 months after the last
Pro posed Rapture
did not want to be trapped
and un raptured un captured
——-
Lamont spoke of a time to come time to come
through his Apocalyptic lips
we wait wait wait
for days to end
——-
9 1 1
plus ten plus end plus when?
plus time to write again
even if words have lost their power
we still must speak write witness
are we the only ones seeing?
that Greenland is becoming green?
beachfront property in Iceland?
Rainstorms in Sahara?
Earthquakes where never before
floods and rain and rain
time to build an ark again
two of each
and this time, don’t leave off the damn Unicorns!
——-
Noone hears our penny prophets
our street seers, the old and new and
even newer testament testifiers,
no one in their time
It has been quiet tonight
like in the time of floods
fourty days and nights and days again
It has been quiet tonight
but for the Unicorns at our door
waiting…for us to ride
