Behind These Walls of Shame
(For all those who needlessly died of Aids, due to govt. inaction,)
Behind these walls of shame
sit those who would
decide the life we lead
whom we should love
when we should die
and why
they think they are Gods,
Wotans in their Valhallas,
well fellas
we are making the lists now
of who sat and watched
when the Aidacide came
3ehind these walls of shame
those who would lead us with theer ignorance
preach at us with their prejudice
teach us to be less and animal
sit and make the laws
sit and make the loss
when the the comes for counting
will you be as proud of your name, then
or say, as did your spiritual advisers in Nuremburg
“I was only following orders,
I possess no guilt”
Behind these walls of shame
sit these decision makers
incision shapers
division creators
maybe it’s time
to break down these walls
and let the truth shine in
to melt these walls of shame
Maybe it’s time
before all that’s left to list
is the remnants of our dreams
and the business of government goes ever on
Behind these walls of shame
