The Wintering This Year-page 9, 10

Rage on

at the cages

we put you in

Rage on

at the metal dresses

you are made to wear

make to wear

as maids

you wear

Rage on

at the images

at the eye

at the zoos

we put you in

and you allow yourselves to be-

I can only think to know

think I know

when I was a poor pale imitation of a drag queen

I knew noone could ever pay me enough

to wear high heels, night heels

I knew there could never be enough love

for me to be a woman on a

full-time basis

When I tried to be a young gdi

I felt a tiny cent of the rage

a tiny sense of the rage

but I was only a tourist

I could never know

I could never feel the hardness of dreams

the cutting off

of the love

the empty empty

falling from the last roof of the last building

of the last town

Rage On!
