Could of been someone

Could of been someone

The latest murders in Atlanta

could have been someone we knew

not that

that makes it any more brutal

than hearing

people you never will know

now

have been

taken away from us

taken away from us

If there was truly magic

in this world, then-

but there’s bullets and guns

and instant death

just add

insanity

stupidity

and there’s way too much darkness

and there’s way too much darkness

and the light

seems

to

be fading

Sometimes

we don’t need to know any why

why won’t bring them back

why won’t stop the next one

or the next ten

why is just a word for

we don’t know how to stop this

we do not know

how to fix this

we don’t know

we won’t know

It’s not the someones we know

this time

It’s not a someone we love

this time

It’s not a someone

we had lunch with

some while ago

It’s not that someone

this very time

Next time…….
