Duet for Man Woman Birth Death Infinity and St. Louis #5
Man Why are you mad?
Woman Because I think you were playing a game with me that night
And I don’t like it one bite
Man Hey! You saw the real inside skinny.
Woman You mean all those sweet words
just on the tip of your breath
Man Like I really want to do
the frog with you
dance, ro mance, and take a chance
Woman Loving my image
There’s rocks beneath the roses
feel the real, not the shade
the phantom you been writin’ on
Man You think I put you in my movie?
You think you are the movie?
Woman Maybe you are a cameo in my movie.
Man It’s my script. I’m the writer.
Woman And I’m the written? the bitten.
the smiter of the smitten?
Man Yeah. You’re someone like that.
Woman Can’t I be someone like me?
Man No. You’re the wrong type for her.
